Javier Wajntraub is founder of Wajntraub Law Firm, which was organized in 2010.
He has broad experience in consumer protection, unfair competition, commercial loyalty, economic regulation, corporate law, M&As. He stands out in the design of startups and business ventures. He has extensive professional development in relation to banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies.
He takes active part as business adviser and public institutions, acting on their behalf at the local and international level.
Javier is an attorney at law who has graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 1995, where he took graduate courses, and thereafter specialized in Tort and Contract Law at Salamanca University –Spain– (1996). In 2005, he was admitted to the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) as doctoral candidate by means of resolution No. 2384/05, under the academic mentorship of Ricardo L. Lorenzetti.
He worked as Guest Professor at Uruguay’s Universidad de la República University and as Deputy Director of the Graduate Course in Contract Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
He yearly manages the Diploma Programs in Consumer and User Rights at the UCASAL (Salta), at the UCSF (Posadas) of the Bar Association of the Province of Entre Ríos and at the UCES (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires). In addition to that, he is the Director of the Intensive Graduate Course in Consumer Law (School of Law – University of Buenos Aires).
He currently serves as Professor at the School of the Council of Magistrates depending on the Judicial Branch of the Province of Salta. Professor at the Course of Study on Specialization in Torts and at the Graduate Course in Environmental Law of the University of Buenos Aires, and guest professor at several local and foreign universities and institutions, where he lectures several courses related to his areas of expertise.
He has attended many congresses and seminars related to consumer protection, both at the local and international level.
Throughout his extensive career, he worked as professor at the Judicial School of the Council of Magistrates depending on Argentina’s Judicial Branch; as Deputy Director of the Graduate Course in Contract Law of the University of Buenos Aires; as Legal Consultant of the Secretariat of Citizen Affairs (Consumer Protection) depending on the Government of the City of Buenos Aires; as Legal Of Counsel of the Prosecutors’ Office of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires; as Editorial Director of LexisNexis Argentina; as Coordinator of the World Bank’s Modernization Project of the Provincial Judiciaries; as Legal Adviser of Argentina’s Insurance Superintendency; as Adviser of Argentina’s Honorable Senate, of Argentina’s Honorable House of Representatives and also of the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
He is a member of the Bar Association of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and of the Bar Association of San Isidro, Province of Buenos Aires.
